We are delighted to welcome our new partner artist Clare Millen
"My paintings are an expression of the joy I feel when I connect with landscape. I love to explore wild and natural places both near and far – walking, sketching, and taking photos that I can then use as starting points for my work. My paintings, though firmly anchored in landscape, are always semi-abstract as I like to respond to different memories simultaneously - building, scraping and scoring surfaces in order to expose the history of the piece. Although unpredictable and often intense, this way of working allows me the freedom to explore colour and surface through my emotion and intuition."
Over the last two decades, Clare has exhibited both nationally and internationally as well as participating annually with Cambridge Open Studios. Clare currently divides her time between working from her home studio in the picturesque riverside village of Hemingford Grey, alongside teaching and lecturing in central Cambridge.
GingerWhite is offering a selection of Clare's original semi-abstract landscape paintings under our office art rental scheme. We are also featuring a series of canvas prints for both sale and rental. To see the full collection of her work, click here.
