Transformations - Untitled (#AA_TRF_03B)

About: The Tate define abstract art as “art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect”. Since the early 1900s, abstract art has formed an important part of modern art. Famous abstract artists that first created abstract artwork include Wassily Kandinsky, Kasimir Malevich, Joan Miró, Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko. This collection “Transformations” features a series of modern abstract designs. We recommend that these minimal designs work best when displayed as a sequence of pieces within a contemporary interior space.
